2017 Online Registration

Registration for the 2017 season is officially open!  We will again be offering a $10 early bird discount for those registering prior to February 1st.  Regular registration fees apply from February 1st through February 28th.  You may notice that the system has been set up to accept payment plans this year.  It’s not required that you participate in a payment plan, but it is available if that is something that would be beneficial for you.  As we have added the payment plan, waiving of late fees (which will be incurred after February 28th) will not occur this year.  We have always been and will continue to be flexible in accepting payments after the deadline, however, we do ask that you give plenty of notice that you intend to play.  Late registrations create an onerous and unnecessary workload on the volunteer administration.

SJLL Cincinnati Reds Trip

Come enjoy the Cincinnati Reds vs. San Diego Padres game with SJLL on Sunday June 26th.  Pete Rose will be inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame at this game, so it’s a very historic day to be in Cincinnati.  Only $20/ea., with part of the proceeds going to SJLL.  Reds Flyer 2016

Field Work Days

04/01/2015

Welcome to another season of St. Joe Little League baseball!

In preparation for the season, we are holding work days on Saturday, April 4th and Saturday, April 11th beginning at 9:00 a.m.

As you know, St. Joe Little League is a non-profit, volunteer organization.  Maintaining one of the most successful leagues in the Midwest Region requires help from not only our board member and coaches, but our players and their parents as well.

Board members and coaches already donate countless hours of their time to ensure the best experience for the players.  We ask that players and their parents help to enrich their own experience by spending a few hours assisting with the facility preparation.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Scott Johnson, President

2015 Registration Info:

02/02/15

The 2015 St. Joe Little League Registration is:

   Saturday, Feb 14  &  Saturday, Feb 21
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
St Joe Township Hall
6033 Maplecrest Road

We urge you to complete these steps BEFORE registration day:

Step #1 –
Click on Registration link.  Review the registration page, then click on Click here for Printable FormsClick on 2015 SJLL Registration Packet and PRINT the forms in the packet.

Step #2 – Determine your baseball player’s correct LEAGUE AGE from the chart entitled 2015 Little League Age Chart in your registration packet.

Step #3 –
Complete the following forms for EACH player:

a) The St Joe Little League 2015 Registration Payment Form.
b) The Little League Player Registration Form.
c) The St Joe Little League 2015 Uniform Sizing Form.
d) The Little League Baseball & Softball Medical Release Form.
e) The Little League Model Release Form.

Step #4 –  Locate one (1) valid proof-of-age document for each player. This can be an original document or a very legible copy of an original.  For players that registered at St Joe last season, we MAY already have a copy of their proof-of-age on file, but we still recommend that you locate their proof-of-age document for registration.  We recommend a government-issued birth certificate.  Please note that hospital-issued birth certificates, US passports, or Indiana SecureIDs are NOT acceptable as proof-of-age.

Step #5 – If you intend to use the School Enrollment Form that we sent via email, then please skip this step.  Otherwise, locate three (3) valid proof-of-residency documents.  For proof-of-residency of the player’s home address, we recommend a driver’s license, vehicle registration and vehicle proof-of-insurance.  We can also accept certain, commonly available documents such as a utility bill, Internet/cable bill, financial record, insurance record, medical record, or school record.  Please note that we can only accept one document in any one of these categories.  For instance, you can use one utility bill as proof, but a second utility bill will not count.

IMPORTANT:  All proof-of-residency documents must be dated between Feb 1, 2014 and Feb 1, 2015 -OR- they must have been in force at some time within that date range.  For instance, if your driver’s license was issued on Nov 1, 2012 and expires on Oct 31, 2018, then it was “in force” during the Little League date range for this season.  A full explanation of acceptable proof documents is in your registration packet on a document entitled RESIDENCE AND SCHOOL ATTENDANCE – PLAYER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.

Please note that, in general, the following are NOT acceptable for proof-of-residency: personal checks, deposit slips, envelopes, library cards, social security cards, and membership cards.  You may redact (black-out) any personal or confidential information on your submitted proofs.

Step #6 – If you intend to volunteer in any capacity with St Joe Little League in 2015, you must COMPLETE a volunteer application.  Use the form called Little League “Returning” Volunteer Application – 2015 ONLY if you submitted a volunteer application and were approved as a volunteer in 2014.  Otherwise, use the form called Little League Volunteer Application – 2015 and attach a copy of your valid, government-issued, photo ID.

Step #7 –
If you intend to apply for a position as Team Manager or Coach, you MUST complete Step #6 and also complete the form entitled St Joe Little League BASEBALL Manager / Coach Application.

ON REGISTRATION DAY –
Please bring all your completed forms, original or copies of proofs.
Please be prepared to pay by CASH, CHECK or CREDIT CARD.
Other payment arrangements must be discussed with and approved by the Treasurer, Donna Oswalt, 704-7827.

CHECK POLICY –
All checks must be payable to St. Joe Little League.

LATE REGISTRATION POLICY –
Players registering after registration closes on Feb 15 will be subject to a $25 late fee.  Those registering after tryouts will be subject to a $50 late fee.

REFUND POLICY –
100% before tryout date, 50% before 4th scheduled game, 0% after.

Proof-of-Residence Made Easier

01/15/15

Little League’s Official School Enrollment Form is a quick and easy way to save time at Little League registration EVERY year.  Once the form has been filled out and turned in to St. Joe Little League, your

player(s) will never have to provide proof of residence again! No more digging through old utility bills or pulling out your car registration for proof of residency.

To be eligible to use this form, a player MUST:  a) attend one of the schools listed below, AND b) have been enrolled in that school prior to October 1, 2014.

These schools are within St. Joe Little League’s official boundary:

Arlington Elementary, Ascension Lutheran, Carroll High School, Carroll Middle School, Cedar Canyon Elementary, Central Christian School, Eel River Elementary, Harris Elementary, Hickory Center Elementary, Huntertown Elementary, Jefferson Middle School, Maple Creek Middle School, Oak View Elementary, Our Hope Lutheran School, Perry Hill Elementary, Shambaugh Elementary, St. Joe Central Elementary.

Download and print the following form for each player: [ www.littleleague.org/Assets/forms_pubs/school-enrollment-form.pdf ]

Fill out the top section of the form.  Here is some of the information that you will need: League Name: St Joe Central, League ID#: 114-10-12 and 114-10-23 (write in both numbers please), and for players in the Coach Pitch or Prep League, select “Minors” in the area labeled Level.

Fill out as much of the middle section as possible to ease the burden on your school’s administrator: Print School Name, Physical Address (of school), Student Name Printed. For academic year, please enter “2014/15”, and on the line labeled “Date” (after “This student has been enrolled as of…”), please enter “prior to Oct 1, 2014”

Deliver the form to your player’s school administrator and ask for it to be signed and returned to you.  We suggest providing your administrator with a stamped, self-addressed envelope along with the form.  SJLL has contacted the principals of schools in our area and advised them that several of these forms may be arriving over the next few weeks.

On SJLL registration day, bring in your registration paperwork, birth certificate(s), and the completed School Enrollment Form(s) and you are done!  Registration forms are available on our Downloads page [ www.stjoell.com/downloads ].

Election of Officers for the 2015 Season

09/17/14

The St. Joe Little League board meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 28 at the St. Joe Township Hall.  The meeting will include nominations & elections of officers for the 2015 season.

We are actively seeking volunteers who are willing to accept a nomination for elected positions as a SJLL officer.  Please advise Scott Johnson (sjohn99@hotmail.com or 416-1381) if you are willing to serve.

We want to encourage all of our parents and other board members to become more involved in helping to direct St. Joe Little League.  It is only through the efforts of our volunteers — those elected to seats on the board and those who simply volunteer as coaches and help with maintenance at the ballpark —  that we are able to offer such an outstanding baseball program at a reasonable price for our families.

If you would like to become a voting board member for 2015, please attend the September 28 meeting and announce your intention. Any adult affiliated with SJLL can become a board member. Once you are nominated and your nomination is seconded, a simple majority vote of the current board is required. If you want a voice in the future of SJLL, please step forward and become a board member and then actively participate in our league’s administration.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend the meeting, but only previously elected board members are eligible to vote in the election of officers.

Fall Baseball

07/12/14

To all SJLL Parents,

We would like to invite your player to participate in St. Joe Little League’s Fall Ball program for 2014.

Fall Ball Registration information:
—————————————-
Place: St. Joe Little League Pavilion
Dates: Saturday, July 12  &  Saturday, July 19
Times: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cost: $60 per player, refundable until the first game has been played.

Our fall program is for ages 5-8 (Prep), 8-10 (Minor), 10-12 (Major/Intermediate) and 12-14 (Senior).  We would like to see each player register for the level that they will be participating in next season (2015), but this is not mandatory.  For instance, if your child is an 8-year-old Prep player that will be league age 9 and participating in Minor League next season, we would suggest that he/she participate in the Minor League Fall Program.

Players will be scheduled for eight (8) weekend games including up to two (2) double-headers.  Games will begin on August 16th and will end on September 28th.

We expect to play all Prep games on Saturdays and all other divisions on Sundays but enrollment levels may necessitate we play both days.  Games cancelled due to weather will not be made up.  Practices will be at the discretion of each coach.

Each player will receive a SJLL Fall Ball t-shirt.

Fall league is much more informal than the regular Little League Season. Players can wear the uniforms that they wore during regular season.  No documentation is required to register.  There are no boundary restrictions for Fall Ball, therefore anyone from anywhere is welcome to register.  If your player has friends or relatives who ordinarily can’t play at St. Joe due to their home address being located outside our boundary, this is a great opportunity for them to play at St. Joe!

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.  My email address is sjohn99@hotmail.com

Thanks.
